Is mathematics compulsory in jamb?

The accurate answer is YES and NO! It depends on the course you chose. Eg for engineering course, Mathematics is compulsory but for courses like Law or English, mathematics is not compulsory. Now you get why we said the answer is YES and NO right?

How many subjects do you write in jamb?

Just four (4) subjects.

How Can I register on the NYSC portal?

You can register on the NYSC portal by visiting https://portal.nysc.org.ng/nysc2/. Once there, create an account, input your full names, provide the necessary requirements the portal asks of you, choose the institution and program you graduated from, and continue with the mobilization application process.

How do I log into my NYSC portal?

To log into your NYSC portal, you must have created an NYSC account by registering for the first time. If you’ve done this you can log back into the NYSC portal by visiting https://portal.nysc.org.ng/nysc2/ and clicking the “Login Here” at the top right end of the page. Input your registered email address and password and you’re on the NYSC Portal dashboard.

How Can I check my NYSC call up number?

To get your call up number, you will have to get your call-up letter. So, to get your call-up letter:
First, log in to the NYSC portal at https://portal.nysc.org.ng.
Click on “Login Here” to log in with the email you used during your online registration as well as your password.
Click on “Resume”.
Now on your dashboard, click on “Print Call Up Letter” to view your call up letter and see your call-up number.

How do I check my NYSC senate list?

To check your NYSC Senate list:
Visit the NYSC portal, scroll down and click on “Check Senate List or its equivalent.” Pick the Nigerian institution you are attending (or attended), type in your matriculation number, surname, and date of birth in the boxes and drop-down options available, and then click the search button to see if NYSC has mobilized you for the one-year service program.

How do I pay on the NYSC portal?

To make a payment on the NYSC portal, you will log in to the portal with your right email address and password and then click on “Click here to make payment.” Proceed to make a payment with the Remitta Payment Engine and select either option A to pay with a card or wallets, or option B to pay through a bank branch. Provide all you are asked and make your payment.

How to Make Payment on NYSC Portal Via Remita Platform?

The Prospective Corp Member (PCM) should go to the portal home page (https://portal.nysc.org.ng/nysc2/)and follow the following steps:

  • STEP 1
    • Click on “already Have Account”-Click here to login.
  • STEP 2
    • PCM enters Email id and password to login
  • STEP 3
    • PCM clicks on “click here to make payment”.
    • After a successful login,The PCM will click on “Proceed to Payment,” once the payment confirmation page is displayed, the PCM will be redirected to Remita Payment Engine with various payment options.
  • Option A Paying in any Bank Branch:
    • Copy the RRR number generated by NYSC portal and take to any of the approved banks. Click on “see available bank branches” to view the banks.
    • After making the payment at the bank branch, the PCM can check payment status on the URL: https://portal.nysc.org.ng/nysc1/Transactionstatus_Remita.aspx PCM inputs transaction reference number/email id or phone number used in Registering online. Click on “continue” to query Remita and view the transaction detail?
    • Click on “Get status” to view the details of payments.
  • Option B: For Cards and Wallet Payments;PCM clicks on “Pay now with Cards or Wallets” PCM provides card details, pin and any other information required and if the transaction is successful, the redirect URL is loaded status of the transaction..

How do I print my NYSC green card?

To print your NYSC green card, visit portal.nysc.org.ng,log in with your accurate account details to be on the dashboard. Once on the NYSC Portal dashboard, look through your basic details, search for the Print Slip button and click it. When you do this, you will get a preview of your NYSC Green Card. Click on the printer icon on the top right corner of the preview to print your green Card. If you choose to save it as a PDF, click on the other small icon beside the print icon.

What is a green card in NYSC?

NYSC Green Card is a slip issued after successfully registering on the NYSC portal. The card helps in clarifying that you’ve paid as well registered for the NYSC online registration for mobilization.

How do I apply for NYSC relocation?

You can apply for NYSC relocation at the orientation camp by filling a redeployment form, or you can apply online through the NYSC portal. To apply online for NYSC relocation, visit the NYSC portal and sign on “Relocation” and fill in your details appropriately into the fields provided. Wait for notification either by SMS or email to alert you on your application status.

What is the age limit for NYSC?

The age limit for NYSC is 30 years. You are not eligible to serve if you graduate from the higher institution at 31 years and above, but if you graduate at an age lesser than 25 and didn’t serve after graduation, you can serve in the future at an age higher than 30.

Is NYSC compulsory in Nigeria?

Yes, NYSC is compulsory in Nigeria. It is the very foundation upon which graduates start and build their careers. Employers in the public sector and some in the private sector will not employ you without completing your one-year national service. You also will not be able to hold political positions in the country if you choose not to go for NYSC.

How many times does NYSC mobilize in a year?

NYSC Mobilization in a year differs. It ranges from 5-6 Mobilizations per year. For the 2019 year, there were 6 Mobilizations against 5 for the 2018 year.

What is PPA in NYSC?

NYSC PPA is an acronym for Place of Primary Assignment. After the 3 weeks of NYSC camping, a corp member is posted to an area where his/her primary assignment will be to serve the government or the public in Community services, and ministries.

What grade do you need to apply for NYSC?

You don’t actually need a grade to be an NYSC member but you must graduate from a recognized institution. The program is a vision that sees students showcase their ability to serve their fatherland and not an academic affair.

What is the meaning of otondo?

Otondo is an NYSC slang for a new corper who just joined the 3 weeks camp. They are mocked with that slang by the Army trainers.

What does NYSC mobilization mean?

Mobilization is the process from the registration of a student to the period a student joins the 3 weeks orientation camp.

How long is NYSC in Nigeria?
