- FUTA requires Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.
- MAIDUGURI requires Mathematics, Physics and any of Chemistry or Biology or Agricultural Science.

- Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any from Introduction to Agricultural Science, Materials and Workshop Process and Machining, Tractor Layout Power Unit Under Carriage and Auto Electricity; Transmission System; Implement and Machine; Principles of Crop Husbandry and Land Use, Materials and Workshop Processes; Construction and Maintenance of Agricultural Machines; general Metal Work; General Wood Work and Building/Engineering Drawing.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER)
- ABU prefers ‘O’ Level credit pass in Biology/Geography or Agricultural Science as the fifth subject.
- AUE accepts ‘O’ Level credit pass in Biology or Agricultural Science as the fifth subject.
- BAUCHI accepts Agricultural Science in lieu of Biology.
- BAYERO requires five (5) ‘O’ Level passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
- ESUTECH accepts ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language and all relevant subjects.
- FED-OYE EKITI requires five (5) credits at SSC (or its equivalent) including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and one other Science subject from Further Mathematics, Technical Drawing, Biology/Agricultural Science.
- FUNAAB requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics.
- FUTA requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other Science subject at not more than two (2) sittings.
- FUTO requires at least five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and any other science subject in not more than two (2) sittings. At least a Pass is required in Biology.
- IBADAN requires five (5) or six (6) ‘O’ Level credit passes at one (1) or two (2) sittings to include English Language, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with any one (1) or two (2) of Biology/ Agricultural Science, Further Mathematics, Technical. Drawing, Economics, Geography, Metal Work, and Wood Work.
- ILORIN requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit pass in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology or any one of the following subjects Agricultural Science, Further Mathematics and Technical Drawing at Credit levels.
- LANDMARK requires ‘O’ Level credit pass from any of the following as the fifth subject: Further Mathematics, Biology, Fishery, Agricultural Science and Technical Drawing.
- LAUTECH and BAUCHI accept Biology in lieu of Agricultural Science.
- MAIDUGURI requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any one from Biology, Geography, Agricultural Science, Further Mathematics or Technical Drawing at not more than two (2) sittings.
- MAKURDI requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any two (2) of English Language, Biology or Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, Geography and Economics. Also accepts Federal Craft Certificate or WAEC Technical. All candidates must have obtained at least ‘O’ Level pass in English Language.
- MAUTY requires Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Technical Drawing/ Agricultural Science/Geography/ Further Mathematics/ Marketing/Auto Mechanical Work/Auto Mechanics.
- NDU requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other subject at not more than two (2) sittings.
- UNN requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, at not more than two (2) sittings.
- MINNA requires English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Physics, Chemistry.
- RSUST accepts five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include English Language, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics or Further Mathematics and any other subject.
DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENT FOR AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING
Below is the DIRECT ENTRY (DE) Requirement for Agricultural Engineering in faculty of Engineering/Environment/Technology;
- ‘A’ level passes or equivalent in Physics and Mathematics.

i) ‘A’ Level/IJMB passes or equivalents in Physics and Mathematics.
ii) ND upper credit or distinction in Agricultural Engineering and Agricultural Bio Resources Engineering or related from accredited institution.
iii) HND in Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Bio Resources Engineering or related from accredited institution. - ABUAD and LAUTECH – Same as in Chemical Engineering.
- FED-OYE EKITI requires two (2) ‘A’ level passes from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
- FUNAAB and MAUTY accepts ‘A’ Level passes in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry or equivalents. FUNAAB accepts ND upper credit in Agricultural Engineering or relevant programmes.
- FUTA accepts;
a) OND at upper credit level or equivalent professional qualification in Agricultural Engineering; or
b) ‘A’ Level passes at one sitting in at least two (2) of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Biology. - FUTO requires;
a) At least two (2) ‘A’ level passes not below Grade C in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology.
b) ND/HND at Upper Credit level in Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geology or Engineering.
c) First Degree in Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geology or Engineering.
d) Very good passes in three JUPEB subjects namely Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. It does not accept NCE. Candidates must in addition meet UTME ‘O’ Level requirements. - IBADAN accepts two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Physics and Mathematics plus UTME requirements. Accepts ND/HND upper credit to 200/300 levels plus UTME requirements. Knowledge of Further Mathematics is an advantage for all Engineering Courses.
- ILORIN accepts;
a) 200 Level ‘O’ Level Credits in five (5) subjects; English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology or any one of the following subjects Agricultural Science, Further Mathematics and Technical Drawing at Credit levels. In addition, Direct Entry Candidates are required to have A- Level /IJMB or approved equivalent pass in Mathematics (Pure, Applied or pure and Applied), Physics and Chemistry or a National Diploma in Agricultural Engineering or a relevant Engineering Discipline at Distinction or Upper Credit level from a recognized Polytechnic or College of Technology plus at least one year Post ND Experience.
b) 300 Level ‘O’ Level Credits in five (5) subjects; English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology or any one of the following subjects Agricultural Science, Further Mathematics and Technical Drawing at Credit levels. In addition, Direct Entry Candidates in this category are required to possess a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Agricultural Engineering or a relevant Engineering Discipline, at distinction or Upper Credit level from a recognized Polytechnic or a College of Technology. - LAUTECH, MAIDUGURI, IBADAN and MINNA accept ND/HND upper credit. LAUTECH, ILORIN and FUNAAB accept three (3) ‘A’ Level passes in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology.
- MAIDUGURI requires ND lower credit/merit or nine (9) points in IJMB.
- MAKURDI accepts
a) two (2) ‘A’ Level/IJMB passes in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
b) HND upper credit and first class degree in relevant programmes.
c) HND lower credit/ND upper credit, and NCE Technical.
d) NCE credit in relevant programmes plus UTME requirements. - NDU accepts
a) at least three (3) ‘A’ Level passes or equivalents in Physics, Mathematics/Further Mathematics and Chemistry and five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics/Further Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, Admission should be to 200 level of study in a five (5) year degree programme.
b) ND/HND upper credit and above, in the relevant programmes from an approved Polytechnic or related institution. ND holders shall be admitted to the 200 level or study in a five (5) year degree programme while HND holders shall be admitted to 300 level. In addition to the above, candidates must have five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics/Further Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. - OAU requires two (2) A’ level passes in Physics, Pure Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics and Chemistry or ND upper credit.
- RSUST in addition to ‘O’ Level requirements accepts:
(a) HND (Lower Credit) in relevant discipline.
(b) OND/ND (Upper Credit) in relevant disciplines.
(c) At least three (3) ‘A’ Level passes at GCE in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Language. - UMUDIKE accepts ND/HND with good grades in relevant programmes.

a) ‘A’ Level passes in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics plus UTME requirements.
