I’ve had encounters with ladies who are into businesses of various types but not too long ago, i met with a particular lady who’s story caught my attention which I’ll love to share. This is a story of an ex-corps member that started a small business and now she is earning big from it. “Never is it too late to start something”.
This lady is an ex-corp member who served in Akwa Ibom State, which happens to be one of the most beautiful cities in Nigeria.. She was posted to the Uyo local government council where she served as a youth corper as her place of primary assignment (PPA). This beautiful lady is in her mid twenties and very passionate about her work; beads and cake making.. Her name is Eze Chinonyerem Justina with the brand name Tinabeads&cakes..
HOW THE JOURNEY STARTED
Eze Chinonyerem Justina with the brand name Tinabeads&Cakes narrated how she started the Cake and bead making business to us last week. According to her, she said she started because of her love for creativity..
I love creative arts so much.. I surf through the internet a lot to see amazing things people create.. I see so much that i am like “wow”.. I felt like i could do something nice also with my gifted hands coupled with the fact that i hate being idle.. Even in realty, no man wants to marry a liability or better said, a woman that is not productive.. I started with beads then later i ventured into cake making during and after my final year in school.. I went for online and physical trainings from experienced individuals in the business.. Because of my love for creativity, i started show casing my works by making free cakes in church and for birthday celebrants.. From there people started noticing me and referring me to others.. It wasn’t easy at the start though, due to combining school with the bead and cake stuff.. My love for creativity was my drive, though i did it at my leisure time.. I really found it interesting and made a decision to explore the bead & cake making world… Wonderful, isn’t it?
The God Factor, Consistency, Determination, Resilience the key to success..
Putting God first in what ever you are doing is always paramount .. like the bible says in Palms 127 vs 1 to 2
Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.
Also consistency; no matter what you learn, you just have to keep practicing.. The more you keep practicing ,the more you see new and better sides to what you’re doing.. Also the determination and willingness to know more by asking people who are better than you is also essential..
Having A Good Management skill
You’ll have to have a good management skill, if you want to venture into business.. Your little resources will always be entering your business and youll have to buy things for the business. for me i had to limit things i spent on fashion and the rest. Developing yourself as a lady is beyond your artistic movements in bed or your culinary skills. We ladies need to build and commit ourselves to be hardworking.
The reason why some ladies will continue suffering or remain average is because of lack of purpose and vision. Ladies, you all need to get it right! It is never too late to start anything.. Don’t let your background pull you back.. You can start something with the little you have and end up big in life.
